Betting!!. there is a group/ syndicate of gamblers that club together and fix it so they win £££' here is how it works...
there is a betting web site you join and the admin of the forum will say eg....(thousands of members) we will first bet £1 on vern to win this show this will make him favorite odds on, at the last minute we bet on the under dog> Ulrika, so all of you stick big £££ on her to win. there are over a thousand of us here we all ring 10x times each (cost £3.50 for 10 calls each) make it £10s worth of calls each then? out of the thousands members they can vote well over 100,000 votes + the general public votes will make sure she wins.
if i put £100 on ulrika to win i would get back £1,400 (14-1) take way the £10 of calls and the £1 iput on vern to win = £1,389 profit that is how its fixed.

Problems with this theory... they wouldn't know how many phone calls it would take to swing the vote as Channel 4 don't release the numbers - for all they know it could be millions of votes, and secondly there is no-way to prove other members of the syndicate are actually making the calls they say they are. Everyone could just leave it to everyone else.
