I can understand that but too do it in the way they have done it is problem. It doesn't look like they handle it properly at all it was a knee jerk reaction.

They must have some kind of disciplinary procedures, what are they and did they follow them? What happened?

Like I said before if they gave her some kind of final warning, which she deserved, and told her she had to make an unconditional apology, and she refused then it would be clear why she was sacked.
