Also I can't remember where I read this, but only 11% of people are athiest, so numerically there are always going to be more religous people looking down
Athiesm encourages free-thinking, and tries to promote people to look at things for themselves and not from such a one sided viewpoint, which has been handed down by generations of people who are too narrow-minded to believe anything but what they've been told.
Also, your sig is quite big

Just with one post, youve called them one sided, should think for themselves, narrow minded....another proof thanks!
Like I said in religion, people are taught not to look down on others who are different. Its one of the laws of being religious. An atheist, does not have those values and its obvious from just the posts on this thread.

Well that's because this thread was aimed at athiests, of course there are going to be more/if not all of their responses. Also, and this is more-so on the internet, religious people tend to stay away from debate on the subject, just because it's so hard for them to fight their case (that and most of the time a lot of people don't know WHAT they believe in anyway... heck, most of them probably don't even go to church or follow anything that the bible says)
If I walk into a church meeting one weekend, state my beliefs as an athiest and say I think every person in front of me is crazy and narrow minded.. do you think those people will not 'look down' on me?
