We never had a sex education, when I was in year 5 we were basically given a diagram of the womb and told that when we were teenagers we`d bleed once a month. That was literally it.
Then when I was in yr 7 or 8 we were told about periods yet again,no mention of sex.We were given free tampax and had to watch a video about a girl having her first period.
Then when I was in yr 10,by this time everyone had had sex anyway we were finally told that there were several forms of contraception and that If we were having sex we should always use protection.
Seriously that was the extent of it and I`m not that old ,I only left school 2 and a half years ago.I will admit when I first started having sex I was almost totally clueless about some aspects of sex and I really dont understand how schools get away with having so little sex education.
