I do like the idea, but I think simplifying it a bit would make it work better. I get your point but I don't think it is that complicated, down a lift then along a corridor then up a lift.

And it is incorporated into the house as the lift will be inside the house so when we get some late arrivals coming in it with be more of a shock than opening the front door really slowly.
I agree with Brekkie, one lift is enough, two is overcomplicating it.
