Remy that aussie was a tourist like the rest. Her point is fair.. a lot of French markets are blocked to the rest of the world by tarrifs... how would the French like it if the rest of the world were equally as protectionist.
re fisherman ... fishing more would rape the fish stocks meaning that in 2 or 3 years they're won't be enough fish around to keep the fish population going. That's the whole point of the international quota system... it's not about the government being mean to fisherman it's about nations agreeing to NOT over fish so that there will be enough to reproduce and re stock the population.
re strike culture. Remy explain the importance of strikes and demonstration to Arista. It's an important part of a democracy that people get out march about what they believe in. Greece is the same. Arista seems to think that some tourists being inconvenienced is more important than people's livelihoods.

It's not about being protectionist, you know France is not. It's a simple strike and it's the only way fishermen have found to get their point across. Like I said, both parts are wrong and both are right in a way so I'm not defending anyone.
