The summer starts with a bang as Big Brother returns to your screen. Davina welcomes you, tours the house and announces that it's time to meet the housemates. The first are couple Mario and Lisa, followed by fast-talking Luke, and then sexy Stephanie. The houseguest flow stops there for a while, and Big Brother calls the foursome to the diary room. There, BB informs them that they're going to take part in a secret task. Mario and Stephanie must pretend to be a couple, instead of Lisa and Mario. Luke and Lisa must take part in the pretending, and if they succeed the task, they will all be safe from eviction, while the rest of the housemates will go up. However, if they fail the task, they will all go up for eviction.
When Big Brother releases them from the diary room, the next housemate enters, super-excited Rachel. Self-loving Dale is next, followed by stylish Sylvia. The next housemate to enter is gay Dennis, followed by the first blind housemate, Mikey. Opinionated Alexandra is next, followed by sexist Rex. Mohamed the rebel is next up, and then comes loud Rebecca. Somewhat ghetto Darnell is next in, followed by the lovely Jennifer, and finally by just plain weird Kathreya, who has a weird obsession with cookies.
The first night goes by pretty calmly. Stephanie rants in the diary room about the secret task cause she find Mario a bit revolting, while Mario plays it cool in order to not blow his cover. Rebecca gets on Alexandra's nerves with her overly loud voice, and Sylvia and Dale show interest in one another. Jennifer and Dennis hit it off right away, and Rachel takes instant liking in Mikey, and sees it as her own mission to ensure his safety inside the house. Darnell appears to cut himself off a bit during the first night, and with the huge number of housemates, nobody seems to notice.
DAY TWO
When the housemates wake up to the first annoying alarm of the season, they find out that Big Brother has put up a couple of photographs of the housemates, including a fake one of Mario and Stephanie. The fake couple stay in the bedroom after the others have left for what the other housemates think is them wanting to just be alone. Stephanie ponders the grueling thought of what if the housemates tell them to kiss, since after all it's Mario's birthday on sunday. Mario says she's over thinking it, and says there's no way he's kissing her, not with Lisa there having to watch, he says he can't do it. This leaves them in an awkward silence, and finally Stephanie storms to the diary room to bitch about Mario.
Shortly after noon, Mario is called to the diary room by Big Brother. There, he is told that he must propose to Stephanie sometime during that day, which shocks him, obviously. When he leaves the diary room he tells Luke about this, who thinks it's huge, and they plan some way to do this. While they're planning on dropping the big question, Lisa has found herself a great friend inside the house, - Rachel. The clock is nearing two in the afternoon when Mario gathers the housemates in the lounge, and drops the bomb on Stephanie, and of course the rest of the house. Stephanie freezes for a moment, before accepting the proposal.
Only mere seconds after Stephanie says yes and kisses Mario (much to the dismay of Lisa), Big Brother announces through the speaker system that the wedding ceremony will be held on sunday, bringing shocked expressions to housemates all around. Jennifer and Sylvia later huddle up and gossip about their housemates, including that they think Mario and Stephanie aren't even a real couple, but only a task put up by Big Brother.
Big Brother calls Stephanie and Mario into the diary room when the clock is nearing five, and asks them to fill out marriage documents to which Stephanie replies, 'are you kidding? I'm not marrying this man.' Mario acts calm and tells her it's obviously fake, just like the relationship they have, to which Big Brother replies, 'a real wedding ceremony will take place on sunday.' Stephanie then shows her anger by shouting and storming out of the diary room.
That evening, Big Brother rewards the housemates with an engagement party, with alcohol and games for the housemates to play. Alexandra shows her opinions when telling the couple that she thinks they're fake with a capital F, while Rachel comes to their side by saying she think's they're for real, and that they should just be happy for them and not be making up some rumours. This, of course strikes a nerve with Alexandra, who says that Rachel is calling Alex a liar, and arguements ensue that involve most of the housemates. The day ends with Big Brother calling Alex to the diary room to calm down, where she breaks down and starts crying, - poor thing.
