And it is a gun crime if the IPCC deem the shooting to be malpractice of police resources, which we don't know yet.
And the IPCC are investigating, especially since he was home alone and so there was no significant risk (and therefore no need for him to be shot to die... PLUS the fact officers are trained to shoot to disarm or injure, not kill).
