Its a marketing strategy. The idea, is for people who see a glimpse of it, to wonder, WTH is that? It peeks their curiosity! Then they become longer and longer. It does work as a marketing tool. I remember the first time Ive seen such a thing was when they advertised the Mole, in the US, with that green fingerprint!
