These are my houseplans for BB10. I'm not building them on Sketchup because:
a) Although I'm alright at building interiors I'm rubbish at exteriors.
b) It's a bit too late now.
I copied the shape from the ariel shot from the other day. I hope it's exact!
Let's focus on Image 1. This is the first floor. I was hoping to get the lounge outside but I didn't have enough space to do that if I wanted to put everything else in. Housemates will arrive in the door room, and will enter the living area and kitchen. Through the door on their left (right) there is the smallish bathroom. I felt the bathroom isn't the most important thing in the house so reduced it's size and toned it down so it isn't one of the prettiest things in the house. The door next to the entrance/exit door leads through to the sixteen bed bedroom (yes, I know it only has 8 in the picture but I couldn't fit them all in). There is the stairs that led to the upstairs area, which I'll speak about next. Going through to the garden we arrive on the deck area which has a barbecue and some deck chairs which housemates will be able to move. We have the double decker bus smoking area where housemates can also go for private discussions, along with the loft which is circular and slightly smaller (I think) than the BB6 one. The prison has been made bigger to fill in the huge random square gap. Next to the prison is the outdoor Diary Room! I had this sort of thing in mind:
1:20am-Housemates are sleeping.
1:21am-This is Big Brother. Would so and so please come to the Diary Room
So and So drags themself out of bed and sleepily walks across the cold, wet, rainy garden into the diary room.
So and So: What?
Big Brother: Hi. That is all.
So and So: Grr!
Now, behind the bus is the pool room. The door to the pool room is hidden behind the bus (which can be moved out of the way to reveal the entrance) so they'll never think to look there! That's floor 1 done, let's move on to floor 2.
Housemates must make their way up the stairs to the landing or go through the door to the upstairs lounge, which is unacsessable from the landing to make the landing feel more closed off and claustrophobic. The upstairs lounge leads to the substantially smaller task room, which won't be used much. Through the landing there is the balcony! Housemates can talk to other housemates down in the garden, as well as having private discussions with each other, however they won't be able to see outside as the walls are higher this year. Next to it, above the pool room is the disco/reward room. It will be used as a disco and for other special treats if housemates pass tasks, do good deeds or collect enough tokens to unlock it.
