BB7- whilst hugely successful at the time, it murdered BBUK for the masses. It made them creatively bankrupt and any twist we get now is pretty much a rehash of something that has already happened. Then the complaints. Then they wanted to give us more, they tried by bringing Jade back, and more controversy. People got sick of BB. They tried to reinvent it for BB8, it failed, they lost viewers. They took advice for BB9, it was good and received well critically ... too little too late, only the core fan base watching at this point.

It has a future as a cult show, but not as a huge media event unless it is rested for a few years and the power of nostalgia works its magic

I think BB will always exist in some form though, but obviously not under the BB name
