I'm really just arguing the point about "marriage" as a concept, as the topic's called gay marriage. I don't really see the point in marriage in general; so I find gay people "fighting" for the right to get married really pointless. I don't take issue with civil partnerships/marriage, but it just seems ridiculous to me, I can't think of any benefits that being married/in a civil partnership has over being in a committed relationship.
