You can't really make a sweeping statement about this issue or not, because it varies in each situation.

- I'd say that many women who leave their husbands are possibly influenced by their hormones, which during a pregnancy are all over the place.

- Women who leave their husbands (as opposed to the other way around) would, I'd have thought, be more inclined to refuse any help from their husband/grant them access to seeing their kids.

That said, I think that a lot of women who leave their husbands during their pregnancies would really have to be pushed to even consider doing it at a time when they are most in need of help.
