Default Ant and cheque as dancer wins

Quote:
GEORDIE dancer Anthony Hutton last night waltzed away with Big Brother.

Anthony, 23, pipped Eugene to the £50,000 winner’s cheque after Kinga and Makosi were booted out.

He was stunned as host Davina McCall announced his name. He jumped around and shouted: “Get in! Ding dong, I’ve done it.”

Eugene said: “Well done, you deserved it” and as he left the house told him: “Nice to meet you.”

Anthony got 57.3 per cent of the final vote and Eugene 42.7 per cent.

Eugene, 27, let slip his chance of glory after the 11-week show — the longest Big Brother — when he accepted a £50,000 bung from Big Brother in the Diary Room.

His decision meant the winner’s pot was halved from £100,000, leaving Anthony with £50,000.

Some fans blamed radio ham Eugene for being greedy and voted for the Geordie instead.

Eugene admitted last night: “The act was a bit selfish. It may have cost me first place”.

Anthony won the hearts of Big Brother fans by keeping his cool with gay crimper Craig, who had a crush on him.

After his best mates Maxwell and Saskia got the boot, Anthony was left with just Craig for company. Bunny-boiler Craig became obsessed with Anthony and pursued him relentlessly.

Anthony was left to deal with a series of rows as Craig’s frustration simmered.

But last night he said he didn’t realise “top bloke” Craig fancied him.

He added: “We’re good mates — we’re an old married couple, big time.”

Ant now plans to splash his cash on a huge holiday.
