But it is not edited to change the time frame of the events taking place in the house. When the unacceptable material finishes we return to the action "as live". Viewers are well aware of that when sitting thorugh the cutaways, soundips and stock shots.
That's a whole different viewing experience from just having the highlights package, which is skillfully edited to create storylines and give a dramatic structure to the show.
This leaves two thirds of the day with nothing new to discuss.

But what some people can't grasp or accept is that the live feed was incredibly edited too. When discussing the live feed now it has gone, rose tinted glasses really does spring to mind.
