I agree with 30 stone, even though its wrong that that should happen. But, then he's not an impressionist so maybe his Indian/Iranian accents sound racist something from 'it ain't half hot mum' or along the lines.
He may only be confident of the Russian one and uses it.
But then I hate most people that can do any accents, I can't do any, and sound like I'm mispronouncing words akin to someone who had a mild stroke.

Well I promise you it's a bad impression and just what would expect from him!!!
My friend my partner is Russian and I feel in love with her accent 1st and then her, they are so serious but have superb manners!!!!!
Did Dermot ever descend to these depths ?

I don't really watch BBLB, find it too gimmicky, and in love with itself too much. Dermot was watchable though when there was nothing else on.
I take it then the accent was a stilted military style impression as well (as natually the cold war still lives on).
I work with a Ukrainian woman, love her accent.
