No, it doesn't need a rest. They just need a clear out of the producers and bring in people with fresh ideas.

The reason this year is doing so badly in ratings and on forums is because its same old. We've seen all this before. It SHOULD be a good series but for some reason I just can't get into it. They need to try and keep it fresh every year, I mean look at X Factor. No 2 years have been the same and year on year the ratings are still growing.

After a bad patch for all the series from BB7 to BBCH, BB9 really shown they CAN still make a good series and the public will back it if they do. CBB6 just put them back in that slump, and BB10 even further into it. They're scared of making changes, even down to the outside of the house. It has been the same since BB6 with the odd tweak for each series but pretty much being the same. That just emphasises the same old same old imo.

They just need to put their heads together and overhaul the entire format. Even if it still gets similar ratings to this year at least its a change and makes the show feel fresh again.

What they NEED to do is axe CBB or the January series. That is what is doing the damage imo. Its had its day and time to let go of it even if it breaks contracts, just pay up it'll save the main show. The gap between BB8 and 9 felt like forever but there was a lot of hype for BB9 because BB hadn't been on for so long. The same between 4 and 5.
