I'm not a fan of Michael, I never paid him much attention over the years, but like everyone else I knew his songs and knew how big they were.

Regardless of whether he did play an instrument or write a lyric, his legacy and influence is so massive that it WILL live on for so many years to come. Just look at twitter, so many artists, politicians, sportsmen and world leaders have paid tribute to him and mentioned how influenced they were by not only him as a musician, but as a person.

For his generation, his videos, albums and songs are far apart from others of them years and they are probably some of the most known from the 70's/80's/90's. He is a musical icon/genius, you cannot really dispute that. He titled himself the King of Pop, no one began calling him that, but millions obviously agreed and where ever he is now he'll forever be known as that.

Yesterday/today will be remembered for a very long time and instead of disrespecting the day, maybe you should be remembering where you were when you heard the news because it'll be a tale to tell some day.
