I was at the eviction tonight, was my first one ever.
Waited in line for about an hour after getting ID checked and tickets and searched. You walked up the side of the garden and then you are split into small groups and put in the audience space. I was behind the press and photographers right near the front so happy days. The house from the front isnt at all what you expect it to be. It is tiny compared with what it looks like from on TV. The walls are just bits of white painted wood nailed together. The audience space seemed quite small to me although the attendance was just under 900.
You get a crowd entertainer, Matthew, who chats to the crowd and with Davina before during and after the show. With the 15 mins to the start of the 9pm show, they do the "Live in 15 mins video". The 9pm highlights show IS LIVE. Davina obviously opens each part of the show from the different areas you see on screen. After the highlights from yesterday play, Davina sits on the stairs to the main stage (right infront of me) surrond by a couple of beefy guys. She was eating pick n mix and drinking coffee throughout whilst her old dear make up woman was trying to get her make up done.
After the 9pm highlights show is over, they immediately produce another "In 15 mins time" video, saying obviously that Angel is out etc. 5 mins later they film and announce the evictee. Therefore THE SECOND "LIVE" SHOW ISNT LIVE. Is i about 10-15 mins infront of the one you see on screen. This apparently is because it takes around 10 mins for Davina to take the evictee to the studio and get them ready for the interview.
My Thoughts:
I thought that there were far too many banners, anyone behind one hadnt a chance of seeing a thing. Secondly, Davina and Matthew, the other host, are great as they actually talk to the crowd about BB and everyday stuff. I for one didnt expect that. I also seemed like the only one that wanted Halfwit to be evicted. Everytime Angel was shown during the highlights there was everyone else booing and jeering. To my surprise the 'Get Angel out' chants were very loud, not sure what they sounded like on TV, I will watch it in the morning.
I also did like Angels exit. Thought she handled it very well and it seemed like she almost expected it. The general feeling in among the crowd was that she is a 'freak'. I loved her working the crowd and putting her leg on the rail! She also loved the press and photographers as she came right up close to the cameras.
I thoroughly reccommend you go to a live show.
