Sure, the world would be a nicer place. But he is almost too nice. When Sophia was still in the house, there was one night where he was having a nice chat with Marcus and Angel. Then Sophia burst in with nothing much to say, but was jabbering on some insipid rubbish in a delivery proliferated with 'know what I means', 'hm-mms' and other such drab colloquialisms of 'black mama/street' style speech. (Apparently her family reckon she's hilarious. Unfortunately, Sophia seemed like she thinks she is cool, smart and straight-talking, rather than annoying, overly-opinionated, and absolutely lacking in substance). I felt sorry for Rodders. He was craning his neck round to face her, all the while trying desperately to be patient and understanding to what she was saying. He has the patience of a saint, but sometimes I think his outlook is a little naive. However, when he stood up to Noirin, that was a defining moment, and I as glad to finally see some fire in his belly.
