Do Ofcom even had any power in this area? I'm pretty sure BB can show/not show what they want on the highlights

Yes they do have power in this area.
Because Big Brother is a television competition, and by not even showing a fundamental rule-break whcih could potentially lead on to different evictees, they have breached rules.
In doing this, viewers now have to vote for people who may not necessarily have been up if the fundamental rules were followed.
Hopefully Ofcom will take action.

It's not a broadcasting code violation, therefore it won't be considered (technically the race row wasn't either but if Ofcom did nothing they'd be vilified). And besides, any show that has over 2,000 hours of footage will intrinstically be edited with bias.

Actually, it is a violation.
I complained to Ofcom 7 times during BB9 and was told some of my complaints of a similar nature were indeed relevant and could be considered as breaches.
I completelu understand that editing has to happen to cut down from 24 hours of footage to 45 minutes. However, completely editing out a significant event which affects the nominations and evictions result is unacceptable.

Hahahaha Priceless
So now you phoned OFCOM and they actually told you that your complaints were relevent and were a breach even though they cannot actually do this till its investigated, excuse me while i change my undies, its not nice of you to make me PMSL.
I think we all smell BS here, never mind you may want to try some research before you try winding other FMs up
