Final Fantasy VII is my favourite game ever. It still holds such a strong position of nostalgia in me that I break it out at least once a year. The music, the characters, just the general emotion you get from the game if you got into it at the time, all just fucking incredible. IX comes close behind too. Massively overated, despite the fact that the central villian quotes opera and wears a thong.

Same reason why it is also my favourite game ever.
I remember playing it for the first time a decade ago and I absolutely ****ing sucked at it. I was new to RPGs and had no idea what materia was and how to use it, lol. But regardless of my immense suckiness, I loved it. Gaming was at it's best back then.
