I'm still trying to work out if Markus is completely deluded in the whole i am ' mr cool', or whether its self deprecating and he's trying to be ironic....
Noirin hasn't really helped the fella in saying one thing and then spending heaps of time with him, letting him paint her back....it's not something you do when you know someone is attracted to you and you don't feel the same way.
Cringeworthy I agree with....manipulative also....Noirin is often oblivious as to whats going on in the house but he's firmly put in to her head the concept of 'us and them'. Noirin used to speak to Lisa heaps, Markus saw it as getting one over on sree so flirted with noirin....in turn i think noirin saw it as a way of putting a stop to sree's infatuation....I think Lisa did feel a level of empathy for Sree (whether this was linked to markus being involved and Lisa and markus having had the massive row??) and you've got a divide in the house....
I've read a lot of comments with imply Lisa is the sole instigator of the house divide but i think its a lot more complicated....
1, freddie.....he's a marmite kinda guy...a group that didn't like him bonded over that exact reason....
2. Lisa and markus's early arguement
3, sree and noirin, people either saw sree as a victim of her flirting, saw him as following her around like a lost puppy or just couldn't care less....once again lisa on one side, markus on another
4. The next step becomes obvious markus doesn't fit in with chris and charlie...he's a strong character with opinions, he forms a bond with freddie and siavash who are also both 'thinkers' he can have a chat with
As for bullying markus behaved in a pretty intimdating manner to sree....but it could be fair to say Sree was hardly a saint and wound people up...
Now i may have missed something but i'm not sure as to why Lisa is a bully.....her and freddie didn't click she didn't articulate herself in the best of manners when she lost her rag but she fought her own battle.....my take is on voicing her opinion, others of the same opinion saw her as saying what they thought and formed a group through a shared opinion but lisa was seen as the leader partly due to age, the fact she was the one who spoke out and i think her image (i.e. skinhead and tats) led to a stereotype of someone who was strong and in control...not to be messed with.
In turn Charlie and Chris were the ones playing hide and seek and being slightly cruel and then almost looking to lisa who had voiced her dislike for approval....yes Lisa should have distanced herself from the boys behaviour.....
