I like the way that smokers refer to their "right" to smoke. There is no such thing as a "right" to take a drug.
As for discrimination, when it comes to overweight people it is almost encouraged to insult and berate them as the right thing to do to "encourage" them to lose weight. I have no problem with anyone smoking around me anywhere, my missus is a smoker and, although I would encourage her to quit, that has to be her decision.
I don't agree with the nanny state, and legislation stating how people live their lives. But people have to understand that they don't have a god given right to do anything that they like, if what they do has a detrimental effect on other people's lives.
