We are talking about Man's struggle over Evil. No lesser thing than that.
Let me talk generally, your argument only stands up, if you assume the typical voter wants excitement, controvacy, and arguments, over Best man wins.
To want this is anti-social behaviour i am afraid, once you say Keneth should stay in over Sophie you are saying.
I want Ugly to stay over Beauty.
I want Chaos and Confusion to stay over Peace and Harmony.
I want Arguments over Tranquility.
I want War over Peace.
And i know you would agree that is what you want. My point is you should not get it.
For your desire for war in Big Brother just a tv show, to Triumph over the majority who want peace, does not simply tell a story about what people want in Big Brother, it tells a story of the bigger picture, life in general.
Personally i dont think BB is just "a game show" it's a microcosm of society, we have seen hated figures come out of the house and have their car vandalised, attacked on the street, not be able to get job's on the strength of a BB appearance which proves, what happens inside BB spills out into society. And i have no doubt if you had your way, that would spill out too.
I dont want to live in your BB world, and if the only price i have to pay for that is less arguments, less, bullying, fighting, aggression, bitching, oppression, humiliation, you know all the bad stuff. then i am happy to pay that price.

I agree it's about rationalizing to themselves that they are good, moral people; so they vote out baddies and save goodies, despite the huge difference in entertaining value, on a TV show of all things.
That's painfully obvious, and yet it does reflect the general mentality of society. That we at least TRY to uphold good morals and be decent, choosing this over the war/arguments/hatred, etc.
BUT, a more intelligent or wise audience, would know when and where to uphold this mentality for their own benefit. Not just using the same rationale in every action. It doesn't help TV shows, where it's essentially not that real and just screen entertainment.
