Nasri out for up to 3 months with broken leg

LONDON (AP) -Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri broke a bone in his lower leg during a training session Tuesday at the club's preseason camp in Austria and will be out for up to three months.

Arsenal confirmed that Nasri had sustained a fractured fibula in his right leg, but did not immediately provide further details on the French international's injury.

The club said it expects Nasri to travel back to Britain on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old Nasri was signed from Marseille last summer as a replacement for Alexander Hleb, who left for Barcelona. Nasri scored on his debut against West Bromwich Albion last season. He had a total of seven goals in 44 appearances.

Arsenal arrived at its preseason camp this week and has a friendly against SC Columbia scheduled for Tuesday.

The team has two other friendlies in Austria scheduled for next week before returning to London for the Emirates Cup on Aug. 1-2.
