Charlie had mentioned to Kenneth earlier on in the pool that Karly was his friends and he felt Kenneth was acting inappropiatly with the other girls in the house. He suggested to him that he stop flirting with Sophie.

I felt Charlie did feel Kenneth was making a threat when he asked him to clarify what he meant.

Sometimes feel Charlie avoids conflict but he was strong in his views in this case.
