It is blatantly obvious tom let marcus win. Due in large part to looking as much of an arse as marcus looked when he was challenging sree to press up contests and then telling noirin that sree was being a peakock. For this was more than a mere arm wrestle it was a macho 'who is more of a man for noirin' from marcus's perspective whereas tom has seen the outcome of chasing noirin and looking a knob outside.
