I didn't like a lot of the Avid adds - they made me cringe rather than laugh, I'm afraid it's not my style of humour at all. I did actually meet Avid at the BB3 final and chatted very briefly with him while he was signing autographs and calling everyone 'warm'.
His real name is Leigh Francis and he starts his own show called 'Bo Selecta' this week on Channel Four Friday at 10:30pm. Here is the write-up from 'Heat'

'The strawberry-blonde stalker introduces his latest celeb encounters live from his bedsit. He'll be helped by a pervy puppet called The Bear, and rubber masker stars with northern accents. Namely Craig David (hence the show's name), Brittney Spears (who we see swigging bitter on her days off) and Geri Halliwell ("Girl Power and all that shite"). All six shows will be filmed the week of broadcast, so Francis/Merrion can weave in topical stuff. Oh, and in case you were wondering, the neckbrace is needed because Liza Tarbuck punched Avid for telling her she looked better in trousers than a skirt. You will like him. He is warm.
