Makosi Interview Response
I sent a letter to channel 4 regarding Makosi's eviction night and they sent a reply back a long time ago but I just checkhed my emails...so yeh.
Here it is :
Dear Ms Kennedy,
Thank you for your mail regarding Makosi's interview on departing the Big
Brother House. I note that you feel Davina McCall was remiss in her interviewing
of the housemate.
Davina McCall's job whenever she is interviewing the housemates after eviction
is to ask the sort of tough and probing questions that viewers would like to
know the answers to. From your comments, I understand that you felt that Davina
was being extra rigorous with Makosi, but she was a housemate whose interview
was eagerly anticipated as she had been pivotal in so many of the Big Brother
storylines. What may have made the interview look more unsympathetic was
Makosi's seemingly unresponse stance with regards to the questions Davina asked,
which prompted Davina to keep pursuing her to try and illicit a response. As it
was final night as well, the interviews were conducted in front of a hyped up
live audience who Davina did try to quieten so that the interview could proceed.
Having said that though you seem to have only focused on her perceived negative
comments and you do seem to be unaware of the many positive comments made by
Davina regarding Makosi, a few of which included:
"You're the last female [out of the house] and that is something to be proud of"
"At least you're honest, it may have been a downfall in the house, but is an
admirable quality"
"You're looking pretty foxy now!"
"You were an amazing housemate. I loved watching you and even though these lot
are booing you, they loved watching you too"
Again, thank you for taking the time to write in with your comments which have
been logged and passed on to those responsible for the programme.
