I think Tom just calls things as he sees them.

He has said that he doesn't really care how he's perceived outside the house now, and he's sick of all the drama and bitchiness and fake behaviour in the house, and that he is just going to be blunt about things from now on. And he is following through with that, whether it makes him popular or not.

I think he was trying to give Bea a heads up, only the same as what Bea was doing with Noirin last night about what would happen if she now goes after Tom. Same as he was trying to tell Marcus how his constant pursuance of Noirin was making HIM look.

I like Tom, I don't believe he really as any agenda, he just calls a spade a spade and that's it, but he does need to be careful how he comes across, he seems to get very frustrated when people don't catch on to what he's trying to say. Telling a woman to repeatedly 'shut up' isn't going to go down well with a lot of people, and he comes across as a bit rude at times.
