I agree with Ruth that the desperation of the wannabes is spoiling the show somewhat - producers should do more to weed out the desperados.

I'd put a blanket ban on any person applying for Big Brother that has previously tried their luck on one of the music talent shows - X Factor, Pop Idol etc.

There's is probably no other incentive to be on Big Brother though, than to become famous. Maybe if they gave a bigger first prize, or a prize like, say, a high-profile job at Channel 4 then the ex-housemates would be less likely to join the z-list circuit.
