Actually yes. Because he hasn't really done anything wrong. He is socially awkward, but he definitely isn't a stalker. I've had a stalker. In fact, my last exam in uni was with the police outside the door because my stalker had threatened to kill me. Marcus is no stalker.
What has he done? He fell for a pretty girl. Wow... throw him in prison and lock away the key!
Almost everyone in the world has fallen for someone who didn't like them back. Hopefully, they didn't have to suffer has Marcus has with her hot/cold treatment. He isn't perfect by any stretch, but he also isn't the villan that people paint him to be. I feel a bit sorry for the guy.
And let me turn the tables back on you. If your son/husband/father/brother had been treated the way that Noirin has treated him AND been called the villan for it, how would you feel?
