If Cameron did take class 'a' drugs at Uni then I wish he would just come out and admit it because I think people will have a lot more respect him if he did, and he may well do so after the leadership election is over. I suspect he may be worried about losing votes from the older blue-rinse members of the party who generally look down on that type of thing if he said something earlier and came across as a hellraiser in his youth.

And there is a misconception about the Conservative party, what it stands for and members being a load of toffs and all that. Thats nonsense. My parents came from humble backgrounds working hard to afford the luxuries in life. My Dad started off practically with nothing owning a small fruit & veg stall in Chigwell then working as a London cab driver and my Mum working as a secretary in the city (between bring up the kids). My Dad still considers himself working class but has always voted Conservative, same as my Mum. Why? Because my parents are both selfless and not part of the 'whats in it for me?' fraternity. They believe, as I do, the Conservatives are best to lead the nation. Im not saying everything the party does it right but I agree with the main ideology of the party.

The Conservatives are not dead as a political force as proved at the last general election when they polled the most votes in England turning the South-East of England a sea of blue, yet Labour winning 60 more seats because of a silly 'first past the post' system and having inner cities with more parliamentary seats which favours the Labour party.
