marcus knew that saying nothing to siavash but wearing a self satisfied expression would deliver the right message, because marcus is a practiced spite merchant, he means only ill towards siavash and is loving what happened to him, don't be naive! marcus has so much hate in him for norin and siavash he can hardly speak to either of them, that is what that emotion does. so his silence is not kindness but the opposite instead! hatred
