every year, but when a similar story was fabricated last year about Rowetta by Louis Walsh, it really ruined her chances on the show. There was also a story a few weeks ago, suggesting that Shayne was the favourite of all three judges.
I don't see the comparison with those people at all. David Sneddon always seemed like a nice guy, if a little tedious. But eye candy he most certainly wasn't. Gareth Gates, on the other hand, was a real heartbreaker. He could've got by in spite of his lack of vocal ability if he'd been managed properly. It worked for Will Young, after all.
