Cassie was promising but lost it on the live shows, G4 are more of a novelty act than anything else, and brookstain was a 'soul' singer that had no soul - and most certainly no X Factor. This year, there are at least 6 acts that are good enough to win. They may not appeal to everyone, but their ability in their respective genres couldn't really be questioned.

Yes, but this year there are 12 finalists and last year only had 9. So 4 or 5/9 is roughly the same as 6/12, is it not?
I much preferred last year's show. There were more characters. This year with the exception of Chico and maybe Brenda everyone seems a bit dull and serious about the whole thing.
