Well, I definitely agree that new artists shouldn't be shunned in favour of people who have been around a long time, especially now that there is (finally)! some great new artists coming up.

I also take Sticks' point about the Rolling Stones et al, still appealing their fan base who have loved them for years. That's true, but the point is that when bands such as the Stones started out, they built their fan base, who have stuck with them since, because they have been consistently good. I mean can you honestly see bands such as Westlife and Liberty X still going in 20 years time, with the same loyal fans? Because I really can't. True talent will (hopefully) always win out in the end, whether it's from young or old.

All I hope is that Robert Plant doesn't decide to throw the towel in yet!
