Dislike Lisa but she is fairly good at recognizing social situations as they develop and isn't deluded about her greatness,
and,
say what you want but Lisa will get into a confrontation and fight anyone she wants.

Marcus is a social ******, lives in a 17 year old boys fantasy about what sort of superhero he must be,
and,
is a coward who wimps away from everyone but isolated 120 pound university students or middle-aged women (but only if he is sure he has 20 people backing him).

So I really don't see many parallels outside of some you mention and I agree with:
Lisa killed about two weeks just sitting at the bus stop doing not much of anything but complaining.
Marcus killed about the same amount of time hiding under a blanket moaning and playing the hell out of the 'poor me' deal.
Both probably figure they have done more.
