You got it.
People wonder why I smack Marcy around on here but the truth is I was actually cheering him on a bit holding out hope he was going to be one of the 'real people' in the house and he might have a 'journey' experience into becoming a grown man,

what I found out is that he is one of the biggest phonies to ever seek attention in BB history. He is also desperately in there and is playing, game-playing (often idiotically) and he definitely does NOT want to walk.
Having said that.. .. he 'would' most definitely walk in any situation where he is sure he is going to be evicted or believes 'booted' for infractions.
He will do some scenario in which he 'dont give a ****' and threaten someone with violence (and where he wont actually have to) and then get himself disqualified.
Even better if he says 'Eff U' and runs over the wall.
Yes, it is for two 'reasons':
1) he can 'save face' and among his friends be a 'legend' who was so dangerous BB couldn't even handle him.. were scared he'd hurt someone etc etc,
and,
2) as the OP says - so he doesn't have to actually put his walk where his talk is. He is terrified of being 'punked' once outside those doors, he will not be able to handle the questions about his hypocrisy and his brain will collapse from the fans interrogations.
The good news (not really) is that Marcus most definitely does have an 'irrepressible' protection around his teenaged 'Darkhorse' character.
You could put him on Big Mouth and run video footage of him being a hypocrite,
have psychiatrists explain it,
Have audience members with pointers showing him,
and yet he would STILL just huff and 'Fack offf' and convince himself it was all lies.
But yeah.. he most definitely already has his escape plan and story on how it will be 'awesome cool' all worked out.
The OP is right - you can catch him staring and almost see his mind rationalizing a deluded scenario that serves him and his needs.
