What is scary is the way parents let their children do Trick or Treat, an American custom, which is in effect blackmail. Pensioners are terified, children are put at riisk (Rasor blades in apples, narcotics sprinkled on sweeties, children invited into the hiomes of strangers etc)
I totally agree with you in this area Sticks.Our cars were covered in flour and egg one Halloween night when I was in t he shower and could not answer the day. Mr. Boris was not amused and an ekderly neighbour had 'allsorts' pushed through her letterbox and was very frightened. It is a tradition that should definately have stayed in the US.
