All animals have emotions and all animals can be trained. A dog is a wolf, do you see wolves being domesticated and civilised? What about stray dogs? Dogs are only like that because they're trained from being little.
Quite right. Pigs and dogs in reality are not that different, I've seen pigs be just as emotionally responsive as dogs and behave/play just as a dog would.
