In the real world, outside internet forums and betting shops, I have found this too, speaking to various people. They think Rod is cuteness personified - and they like his attitude towards this country.
If Rodrigo manages to avoid too many tantrums between now and the finale he should walk it. A big "if" though. 
Again, in the real world, a lot of people think Marcus is foul, that Charlie has a horrible personality and the rest are basically a waste of space, i.e. Lisa, Sophie, David and Siavash. In particular Lisa and Siavash are seen as a drain on society.
