The removal of the Tea was a bullying tactic employed against a vulnerable individual who I guess resident psychologists had told the BB producers was being adversely affected. Note BB asked David, who was an innocent pawn in the theft, to reflectupon his actions and ask himself what the impact upon Freddie would be.

The removal of the alcohol was an act of self defence against an oppressiv HM. You may know the story of Brer Rabbit? Marcus goaded HMs into taking a principled stand against an individual who was taunting them.

Marcus had no use for the alcohol except as an object of oppression.

Totally and morally different circumstances.
