Considering the selection of people put into the house as housemates in either the first or second waves were not a reasonable representation of British (note not English) society, and also taking into account the public have only had limited opportunities to get rid of housemates as most housemates selected for eviction were selected by their peers, your assumption about representing English society doesnt show a logical extrapolation.
