As much as I dislike most of the contestants, they haven't killed BB. The producers have - they pick the housemates, tasks, twists, and other things. The blame rests at their feet, not the housemates'.
The BB producers are simply picking people who look different or have different/radical/not 'the norm' lifestyles/views on the world... but that doesn't make them interesting. 'Normal' people are being ignored for the show, mostly, and that's because they (BB) want a bigger spectacle... but it's sadly backfired. The 'freaks' are not freaks. They are mainly dullards who try and spice up their dreary lives/personalities with mohawks, piercings, and anything that can help them get away from the crowd that they should just be a face in. Tinsel and glitter covered monotony. 'Normal' people don't need such things. They're interesting without the forced-for-attention sparkle.

Sadly, the show for the most part now only attracts the shallow fame-wh0res...the more photogenic all having a beady eye on outside deals/club appearances ....
the challenge is how you construct a game that attracts the "normal" folk without it being an insult to their intelligence...

I agree. It seemed to manage it fine to begin with, but somewhere along the way BB changed what it was looking for, turning from a reality show into a freak show - interesting, of course, but different... and when it saw that worked it tried to move further in that direction, seemingly forgetting everything it was trying to do when it set out, thus becoming almost a parody of itself.

I bet plenty of 'normal people' go to the auditions though...just BB prefer to pick out the 'freaks' now for some odd reason...half of them this year didnt even audition
