I completely agree, but the same happens in the real world:
People who choose to have children get benefits, those who choose to focus on a career pay for them with high taxes.
Those who don't bother to work claim job seekers, those who go to university, get nothing (then end up paying for future benefits when they get a better job because they are educated).
A bit of a simplistic (and in some respects exaggerated) view I know, but some of those who choose a way of life through their own free will always expect to (and get) more than their own fair share.
