If it's a pathetically low amount (compared to the supposed original £100,000) i wouldn't be at all surprised if Davina announces to the winner that the full amount was always safe and that it was all a hilarious BB style joke played on the housemates to get them to do stuff (which translates as a cheap way of getting the housemates to provide enopugh footage for the nightly 'Highlights' Show without having to spend any cash on or put any thought into good tasks for the final week).
I think if they get the amount up past the £50,000 mark BB will stick with the story and save themselves 40 or 50 grand to boot.
If the HM's only managed to get the total up to £30,000 or something i think there would be ructions from the press and the Offcom type people if that's all the winner was awarded after publicising a prize of £100,000.
I know they've got their "we reserve the right to change the rules at any time" rubbish but stating the prize is a certain amount and then changing that isn't changing a 'rule'. It's basically fraud and i'm sure they'd be in trouble for it from someone.
Anyone got any thoughts on that ?
