How much did Lisa get paid?
I think we had this before and the best sources said it was something around 340 a week.

No matter how you slice it - BB is a huge cash machine for the economy.
You asked such a 'good question' on why its being scrapped then?
Uh.. well in fact it is NOT being scrapped because it doesn't make money. It was stated up front it DOES still make them money,
but,
They believe they can replace it with something that will make EVEN MORE money.

And a lot of this is more than just 'straight Lucozade sales' which obviously keeps Lucozade delivery drivers employed. It is cash generated by (for example):
The 5 pounds you spent to vote Lisa OUT because you hate her. Great.
Well that kept someone at BT employed for an hour. Of went to a raise for the cleaning staff.
Times that by thousands and a whole lot of salaries at a whole lot of different sections of our economy just got paid this week!
They did not get laid off this month.

Yes, GDP is a funny thing. When you get hit by a car (or more likely beaten up outside a pub) that generates for the 'GDP' when the ambulance shows up and later bills. GDP is actually a strange way to look at things,
but,
Yes, Big Brother is a massive money generating machine for the GDP.
Taxis to Bromborough to cheer, security guards hired to protect Lisa and cardboard and glue bought for 'We Heart Lisa' placards are all going to the GDP.
Generating jobs and % going to tax money for the government.

What do you do towards that?
Would it even come close to what Lisas current job does?
