BIG BROTHER FAKER IS 'OUTED'
'Star' unmasked after being forced to sing
By Lee-Ann Fullerton

9 January 2006

BIG BROTHER last night unmasked Chantelle Houghton as a fake celebrity.

The 10 other housemates were told the 22-year-old's first taste of fame came when she stepped into the house.

The revelation came after the Essex girl spent three days trying to convince the rest of the gang she was a singer in imaginary girl band Kandy Floss.

BB gave her the mission on Thursday night - telling her she would get the boot if she failed.

And last night - after the housemates were asked to list themselves in order of celebrity importance - producers showed them diary room footage of Chantelle.

Chantelle faced eviction if she came last.

Earlier, they had been given 90 seconds to demonstrate why they were successful.

Chantelle - who can't sing - was forced to perform her fake band's "hit" single, I Want It Right.

Her stuttering rendition and bad dancing led to embarrassed looks, with Dennis Rodman covering up a laugh.

At one point, she even forgot the words to the song, penned by Big Brother.

A gallant George Galloway spared her blushes by saying: "Very good Chantelle, I'll buy it."

Later, Jodie Marsh told Ordinary Boys singer Samuel Preston she doubted Chantelle was a real celebrity but no one confronted her about her lack of singing talent.

Sven Goran Eriksson's former lover Faria Alam was told to speak for 90 seconds about why she was famous - but couldn't manage to fill it.

Lads mag model Jodie was given the same task and began with: "The reason I'm famous is because I'ma little bit mental."

Rula Lenska delivered a monologue from Macbeth, while Michael Barrymore performed a series of impersonations.

Pete Burns sang his biggest hit You Spin Me Right Round.

Meanwhile, Jodie has revealed how she gained revenge on an ex.

She giggled as she told Faria how she put her boyfriend's dirty laundry in a bin bag and left it outside so everyone could see how filthy he was.

Faria revealed she had peed in an old flame's tea to get her own back on him. She said: "Have you ever p****d in someone's tea? I did - of a boyfriend who I didn't like."

Chantelle asked if she watched him drink it and Faria grinned and replied: "Yeah, that was the best part."

Jodie and Rula also eased some of their tension with some Buddhist chanting.

Rula told the housemates: "We all have a Buddhist god within us, we just have to tap into it. If you chant positive things, the universe has a way of paying you back in a positive way."

As the girls tried think good thoughts, Pete spent bitched about Jodi to Barrymore.

Pete said: "She goes on about people saying she's got saggy t**s and that she's fat.

"If that's the case, would you go up there, wearing two belts, when they hang out all over the place?

With cut-off jeans that are too small, p***ed and slurring your words?

"She says she needs intellectual stimulation like food but I think she's either thick as pig s***, needs help or it's calculated to inflict guilt - 'Oh my dog died. I burnt the toast. People say my boobs are saggy.'"

Barrymore agreed with the former Dead Or Alive singer. He said: "I couldn't say I don't like her. But I'mcringeing.

"If she doesn't want to be perceived as the w* * *e of Babylon, she'd better start thinking."

Barrymore remains the favourite to win the show at 2-1.

Goldie Lookin' Chain rapper Maggot is his closest rival at 3-1.

Coral bookmakers spokesman David Stevens said: "In our opinion, Barrymore has been the best backed housemate because punters do at least know who he is, unlike some of the other so-called celebrities."

Faria Alam is the 40-1 outsider to win the show, and is hot favourite to be evicted first.
